As reported by Parade.com:
Who Gets U.S. Foreign Aid
The U.S. will give an estimated $26 billion in foreign aid in 2008—70% more than when President George W. Bush took office (the figure doesn’t include funds related to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan). More than 150 countries get financial assistance from the U.S. Here are the six that received the most this year.
COUNTRY, AID and PURPOSE
1. Israel $2.4 billion
Virtually all of this money is used to buy weapons (up to 75% made in the U.S.). Beginning in 2009, the U.S. plans to give $30 billion over 10 years.
2. Egypt $1.7 billion
$1.3 billion to buy weapons; $103 million for education; $74 million for health care; $45 million to promote civic participation and human rights.
3. Pakistan $798 million

Do you think the United States sends too much money overseas? Not enough? Or just the right amount? What would you do if you were in charge?
Well, I understand the need to support Israel and fighting Aids but the wealthy Arab states can suck sand!

SUPPORT THE ACLJ
I think we're already spending enough on the wars, which was not included in this figure. We have so many people in need in this country. We are already in a recession, yet we are sending 70% more money to other countries? This new administration is throwing away billions like they were pennies. And I'd love to know how much of this money will land into the hands of radicals that want to see Americans dead. Most of this money should be going to our OWN troops and their families. Veteran hospitals, scholorships for children of veterans, etc. Ridiculous.
My papa used to tell me "you cannot save the world". He was right. If we continue to send all this money over to support all these people we are going to fail our own. We just had to borrow all that money from China and yet we are still supporting all these other countries. At some point after you teach a man to fish you must hand over the rod.

Aid to other countries is a good thing until that aid is used for weapons to kill and injure people, like in the case of Israel and Egypt.
Palestinian People are defending themselves and their Land and their Homes against Israeli war crimes and Israeli war criminals, both military and civilian.

Screw giving money to other countries. Take care of your own country first. Why doesn't the governement do something about all the teens getting pregnant, how bout all the people on welfare milking the system. Fix the problems here first

I'm a formula feeding, pacifier using, circumcising, pro-choice mom. I don't care how you feed your child as long as you feed your child. I turned my son's car seat around to face forward because rear facing does have weight limits! I don't believe everything the internet tells me and I listen to advice but it does not mean I'll take it.
