President Obama names Sonia Sotomayor as his U.S. Supreme Court nominee.

She would be the first Hispanic and third woman on the bench if confirmed.

 

President Obama on Tuesday introduces Judge Sonia Sotomayor as his choice for the U.S. Supreme Court.

Do you think she is a good choice? Why or why not?

Absolutely not. Not after her comments that she made in more than one speech in the past

Justice is supposed to blind. If the situation were reversed and a white male made the same comment about Latina women, the country would be calling for his head. It really makes me wonder how objective she will be if she is sitting on the highest court in the country.

Seems to me she is know it all, racist, snotty women . I don't believe she can be objective iI believe if it the cases do not fit into here thinking they will negative outcome regardless to what the real outcome might have been.

I am happy with the choice, I think she is great.

So far I think she is a great choice. People need to read her comments in context. She has worked very hard to get where she is and is very qualified.

She wrote a book detailing how the 2nd amendment does NOT guarantee the people's right to bear arms, that the amendment meant the "military" for the people only.

That's really scary.
