PENSACOLA, Fla. -- The coast guard is searching the Gulf of Mexico for a woman who fell overboard from a cruise ship near Pensacola.
The 50-year-old woman fell off the Carnival Holiday just after midnight Tuesday about 75 miles southwest of Pensacola.
"Woke up, the alarms were going off and she wasn't in the room, so the first thing that comes into my head was, 'Aw man was it her?'" said Erik Vilborg, missing passenger's son.
A passenger reported hearing a splash in the water, prompting a cabin-by-cabin search. The coast guard is scouring the area by air and water.
The woman's disappearance marks at least the third time in less than one month a passenger has gone overboard
