Yet another poll Obama slipping in polls

Posted by   + Show Post

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday shows that 32% of the nation's voters now Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Thirty-four percent (34%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -2. That’s the President’s lowest rating to date and the first time the Presidential Approval Index has fallen below zero for Obama (see trends).

Sixty percent (60%) of Democrats Strongly Approve of the President’s performance but only 8% of Republicans share that view. Sixty-one percent (61%) of Republicans Strongly Disapprove.

Check out our weekly review of key polls to see “What They Told Us.

The Presidential Approval Index is calculated by subtracting the number who Strongly Disapprove from the number who Strongly Approve. It is updated daily at 9:30 a.m. Eastern (sign up for free daily e-mail update). Updates also available on Twitter.

Overall, 53% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President's performance so far. Forty-six percent (46%) disapprove. For more Presidential barometers, see Obama By the Numbers and recent demographic highlights.

Take our Daily Prediction Challenge and predict the results of upcoming polls. Today you can predict what percentage of Americans believe high school students should be required to do community service work as a graduation requirement.

(More Below)

Seventy percent (70%) of Americans say they will not be impacted by the closure of GM and Chrysler dealerships. Only 9% are Very Likely to feel the pain. Most in Michigan want the government to sell General Motors and Chrysler as soon as possible.

Americans remain evenly divided as to whether or not health care reform should wait until the economy is better.

When comparing Job Approval data from different firms, it’s important to keep in mind that polls of likely voters and polls of all adults will typically and consistently yield different results. In the case of President Obama, polls by all firms measuring all adults typically show significantly higher approval ratings than polls of likely voters. Polls of registered voters typically fall in the middle. Other factors are also important to consider when comparing Job Approval ratings from different polling firms.

A Fordham University professor has rated the national pollsters on their record in Election 2008. We also have provided a summary of our results for your review.

Daily tracking results are collected via telephone surveys of 500 likely voters per night and reported on a three-day rolling average basis. The margin of sampling error—for the full sample of 1,500 Likely Voters--is 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Results are also compiled on a full-week basis and crosstabs for full-week results are available for Premium Members.

Like all polling firms, Rasmussen Reports weights its data to reflect the population at large (see methodology). Among other targets, Rasmussen Reports weights data by political party affiliation using a dynamic weighting process. While partisan affiliation is generally quite stable over time, there are a fair number of people who waver between allegiance to a particular party or independent status. Over the past four years, the number of Democrats in the country has increased while the number of Republicans has decreased.

Our baseline targets are established based upon separate survey interviews with a sample of adults nationwide completed during the preceding three months (a total of 45,000 interviews) and targets are updated monthly. Currently, the baseline targets for the adult population are 40.1% Democrats, 33.1% Republicans, and 26.7% unaffiliated. Likely voter samples typically show a slightly smaller advantage for the Democrats.

A review of last week’s key polls is posted each Saturday morning. Other stats on Obama are updated daily on the Rasmussen Reports Obama By the Numbers page. We also invite you to review other recent demographic highlights from the tracking polls.

He doesn't have my approval.

I can't bring my self to support anyone who has sold their ass to the Zionist.

Could you please explain to me YOUR interpretation of zionist?

P

Zionism is a political movement that supports a homeland for the Jewish people in the land of Palestine pushing out all others (non-Jews) in the name of a ALL Jewish State and will stop at nothing not even at the expense of others.

Zionism is racism

Zionist includes those who support Zionism such as the evangelical movement and the United States government which is run by and answers to the Zionist for almost if not everything. Look up A.I.P.A.C. for a better understanding of how the U.S. revolves around Zionism.

Back to my previous statement...

Obama sold his ass to the Zionist to get into the White House (look up his speech before A.I.P.A.C. in June 2008). 6 years ago Obama was not a Zionist nor was he a Zionist supporter but he sold his soul to the devil to get into White House and therefore I have no respect or support for him.

Obama sold his rear end to the far  left-wing side of the Dem. Party + the George Soros's of this Nation. He catered to the moderates only to rec' their votes. He DID not conform to the true Christians who respect human life esp. the most vulnerable of all including Christians who obey the 10 Commandments...not the 10 Suggestions! Obama is the most pro-abortion Senator to walk the halls of Congress than entering into the doors of the WH. Any true Evangelical or obedient Christian would never support a Candidate such as this!

He completely flipped his script becoming a Zionist and offering his unconditional support to israel which is a far cry from where he once stood before he even thought about running for president. Look up and read his speech before A.I.P.A.C. and then look up his most recent hypocritical speech to the Muslim world.

Again he is speaking out both sides of his mouth to 2 different audiences telling everyone what he thinks they want to hear.

Sorry, I know as a Zionist it may be hard for you to swallow that Obama is indeed a Zionist himself but that is exactly what he has become and he never would have been elected otherwise.

It's no surprise to me the polls are not favoring BHO like they once were.

His campaign filled people with hope, prosperity and POSITIVE change.  In return those who believed him have been given what?

  • Not taxing big oil companies, to keep the barrel costs low.
  • Earmarks
  • No lobbyists in White House
  • Americans ability to review non-emergency bills b/f signing
  • GM
  • Protection for "whistleblowers" reporting misused fed spending
  • Capital Gains tax elimination for small businesses
  • Bring troops home

He threw a small bone to a large group for the gay/lesbian crowd, but I don't think that's going to save face for him either.

No, I'm not surprised his ratings are falling.  I expect we'll continue to see them decline.

He is living up to the Chicago style of politics he left behind, covert, ball breaking for those who don't support him.

Yeah, he's fabulous.

As I was told repeatedly during the last 2 years of Bush's presidency "polls are not reliable and are too easy to skew for ones agenda."

I am pleased with some he has done, displeased with others. Possibly more displeased but still consider Obama the best viable option.

Thank God......it's Friday!!!

All he wants to do is spend our money and give it away to companies who got themself into debt by doing stupid things and now the us the taxpayers have to pay for thier mess ups all becuase he signed the bill for it.

I voted for him and now I wish I should have not. Thought he would do good for this country but he anit. Like I said, all he wants to do is spend, spend, and more spending. I think his first thing of office should have been getting us out of this war.
