Tell me mothers, what price would you give for one of your children? If you had no food, shelter, no income, nothing, would $30,000 be enough? Could yopu sell the life of your son or daughter for any amount?
I didn't think so.
Ummmm, is this in reference to the Taliban post?
And NO, if I had to, no one would be able to afford them, they are priceless to me.
There is no amount of money in the world ....kids are not commodities.
I would surrender my life for my 2 precious sons to save them from any harm! And for my 1 & only grandchild~
I would figure something out for us and keep the family together. I don't care if we had to stay with family, sleep in a tent, ect, my kids stay with me. I would do what ever I needed to make sure they got what they needed though.
Assuming that the other article is true; who is selling these kids? Are they orphans living with relatives? Are they children of single parents?
Children are sold by parents and relatives into slavery all the time, so this doesn't really surprise me. Especially with the added element of religious conviction.

Ummm I would say this is directly in reference to the Taliban post.
Copper, did you read in your own post where it said that children were also being STOLEN from their parents and then sold? Is that the parents' fault too?
I can say with absolute conviction that I would NOT sell my children, but I cannot say that it does not happen in other countries or that I know what they are going through who have had to make a decision like this. Parents who may have to sell one child to save 6. Its heartbreaking, truly. And I think that instead of saying "these people are sick, horrible, and deserve what they get"- which IMO is how most of your posts are portrayed- that we should understand the utter horror of the entire situation and how wrong it is that civilians- non-terrorists- living there are being treated this way.
