 ...that i have to fill out for the Weatherization Program here in Phoenix AZ....wtf

When i get to work i will scan it in for you all....but to me...what difference does it make what nationality you are to get help if you are poor. And this filling out crap seems to me to be necessary...I have to tell what I AM, what my kid is, and what my next kid is...WTF?

 Oh and its mandatory that I fill this out...

Sorry to sound like an insane person....but seriously...its not like forms you fill out that ask you to state what you are....and tell you you dont have to fill it out...it says this...

"Home occupant information

The City collects occupant information only so we may ensure that our programs benefit all Phoenix residents regardless of race, gender, physical ability or sexual orientation. This information will not affect your loan or grant eligibility in any way. For each occupant of the home use the following code for race:

WHY would it matter???????????????????? Why do they need this information????

They probably need to be able to prove that they served, for example:

10 Caucasians

10 African Americans

10 Asians

10 Middle Easterners

10 Native American's

etc.

Does that make sense?

They need to be able to prove that they helped all races of people, not just one.

Yes, I think it is fair. They have to make sure that they are serving all races and that means keeping track of how many of each race they serve.

That way, if they get audited, they can prove, hey, we served x amount of whatever.

I'd ask to see the law that shows that you have to fill it out. If it were me .... I wouldn't fill it out until they proved that I would breaking the law by not filling it out ...

I wasn't joking, I've NEVER answered that question any other way but "Heinz 57."  Only one person has ever said anything to me, so...I crossed it out and wrote in "Diverse."

I seriously am pissed that there is  a point system alloted to the nationality of my kids and myself...im SURE i will benefit from it...but is that fair? I am legal and so are my kids...we are US citizens...so who cares what our roots are? ya know?

 here are the "race codes"

Amer Ind or Alaskan Native = 1

Am Indian or Alaskan Native and Black or african american = 2

Amer Indian or ALaskan Native and white = 3

Asian = 4

Asian and white = 5

Black  or afro amer = 6

black or african american and white = 7

native hawaiian or other pacific islander = 8

other multi racial = 9

white = 10

I will scan this in tomorrow if anyone wants to see.
