What's With the Suggestive/Sexual Siggies & Avatars all over Cafemom?
I don't get it so perhaps some of you who have them can explain it to me: why would you paste a picture of a woman who is not even you or, even better, some caricature of a woman that is the typical fifteen year old male fantasy version of a woman, in your avatar or on your siggy? Why put a picture of a woman sucking on a lollipop on a site for moms? Or a picture of a woman's lips in a full-blown pucker?
And the slutty, submissive angels all over this site; what's the message here? "Being submissive makes me an angel!"? Do you believe that God loves women dressed in bondage gear more than those of us who wear flipflops and hoodies? Do you WANT to be that angel?
Please...I'm genuinely interested in hearing what the point of it is because, frankly, as a woman and a mom, it baffles me.
And before anyone goes there, I'm not being judgemental. I'm really not. I'm just asking a direct question, looking for a little explanation.

Hmm...most of the siggys like that i seen are for the groups. The group name and such. For me: if someone would make a sexy siggy like that id like it , i dont believe in god so i dont care what kind of angel 'god' likes to be honest. this is a site to express urself , and if thats how they want to , thats fine ... i dont mind , i kinda like those siggys anyway , theyre cute. and a woman sucking on a lollypop thats fine by me , i like suckers lol ... and a pucker -- again fine , i have alota kissy face pics , theyre fun lol
It just seems like something more appropriate for a coed site, that's all.

it's called "personal expression".
CM is a social networking sites for moms. for some women, it's damn near the only social life they have.
personally, my avi is always me, and i choose images for sigs that represent me some how. but i don't really care how others choose to express themselves.
we're not *just* moms.
