Hot Topic (9/14): Should prostitution be legal?
Do you think prostitution should be legal? Right now, it is illegal in the United States except for Rhode Island and 11 rural counties in Nevada.
i say yes. tax the heck out of the services, make the prostitutes work in brothels or some other more controlled environment, to keep them more safe and where they are regularly tested for std's. also they should test the potential clients as well before they are allowed to use a prostitute.
i am more for getting these women (and men) off the streets where it is dangerous, they are beaten by random people, their pimps (if they have one), and they aren't being tested regularly, so they are putting their lives at an even greater risk by leaving themselves open to a disease....a potentially fatal one.
Unless this has changed there are 8 legal counties in Nevada. I'll have to look that up again

Oh, and please establish a specific district for it- that way, prostitutes aren't picking up johns by the playground, you know? Put them in the industrial area or something....
I agree, all states should have a hen house! And it should be regulated by the government...Yeah, the federal gov't can own all the prostitutes! That would be the perfect match! lmao!

I totally agree.
I am iffy. I'm from the old school and prostitution just isn't right. I don't feel comfortable legalizing it. If they legalize that, then street drugs will be next and so on. With the way our society is going, what will we have left to hang on to? I like the way things used to be.
