I stole this from zen habits LOL

If you had to live out of your car, what possessions would you keep?

I'd keep a few clothes (maybe a backpack full)

My cell phone

My camera

My laptop

Toothbrush and deoderant. :o)  (out of respect for the rest of the world)

My favorite comforter

A pillow

I think that's about it. :oD

..... This is of course not considering my children or pets... because if I had to take them, I would need a fullsized van to live out of!

Once I put the pets in the van there would not be room for anything else - and they'd probably chew it up anyhow.

So I guess I would take a tent and attach it to the car to live out of,  and a stash of cash to buy whatever I needed in the moment and use it up before I bought anything more.

It is like the question what would you grab in a fire?

I would get the living creatures out and forget the rest. We'd be lost.

It's similar but different in that you
Have time to choose, so it requires
More thought.
We live on a farm so I'd need a trailer for the 3 sheep 7 chickens 4 rabbits and the cat LOL if I had to I. Could probably pare it down to 3 rabbits 2 sheep 2 chickens and the cat... LOL
Really tho living persons and beasties are a given in this exercise. We don't minimslize those we love unless we tend to hoard toxic relationships.
I have so many kids and beasts I think I'd sell everything except the essentials needed to live, a drop spindle, my violin, and a handful of toys for the kids, get an old bus, take out half the seats for the beasts, and go on the road hippie style.

My sons' baby pictures. The cat and my kids. Some stuff to wear, our tooth brushes and tooth paste. Some water bottles and a cooler. A couple of my 4 year olds toys. A brush and a couple hair ties. Two or three blankets. A knife and a couple sporks. My camera, some shoes, some gloves for my son in case it gets cold. My laptop and my library card.
