Wierd rash in my armpit- burning like a sunburn and peeling skin. Any idea what it could be?

This morning my armpit was hurting shortly after I woke up. I went and looked at it in the mirror and it was BRIGHT RED. The 'rash' is probably 10 inches long and about 6 inches wide. It doesnt itch at all- just burns like a sunburn. It has moved over to my forearm on the other arm now, too. After I got out of the shower I was looking at it and I touched it and the skin came right off- like when you peel after a sunburn. It seems to be going down my side now, too. (The same side as the burning armpit). Has anyone ever had a rash like this? I am probably going to go to the doctor tomorrow if it doesnt get any better. I want to put something on it to soothe it- but I'm not sure what I can or should put on it. Any clues? Also, I am on my second round of clomid- it's been like 11 days since I had my last pill. Does anyone know if clomid could cause a reaction like this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Maybe you've developed an allergy to something in your deoderant. I've even heard of people being allergic to their own sweat.

I dont think it's shingles- I looked it up and it said that a shingle rash has fluid filled blisters that pop and ooze. Mine is flat- not at all raised. The skin is just peeling off of my arm/ underarm and burning! Maybe it is the deodorant- but I've used that kind forever (Dove). I'll be giving the doctor a call to see what she has to say. Thanks for the advice!

It isnt shingles, shingles is actually another form of of chicken pox. Yes it is filled with pus. The rash you have is probably some type of allergic reaction to a soap you used or clothing etc...You can use a cold compress or an anti itch lotion it could be heat rash I would actually have to look at it, but tis a good diea to go to the dr and check it out...

I would call your doc right away. A rash could be a severe allergic reaction to the medication, and I am sure everything is fine, but it is worth a call. They will probably want to see you. Good luck, hope it gets better!

i had a "rash" like that under my boobs after i had my son....i just put some baby powder on it or some desitin....mine itched like crazy, but peeled and hurt like a sunburn too. maybe let it air out as much as possible.
