How safe is the swine flu shot?

My 23 month old has an appointment today for a swine flu shot. Last time I was at my toddlers doctor's office, they were giving children the "mist' . I found out it is safe and lasts for a year.

However, now they only have the shot and i was asked to come TODAY itself. i do not have time for any research. I thought to ask you moms .. you might have an idea.

Are there any reactions to the swine flu shot so far? Also, my toddler will be travelling to Atlanta next week. Is there anything to look for after the shot

several in my family have had the flu shot and no problems. I wish I would have had the shot. I somehow got the swine flu with out being around anyone with it. I was not fully well for 2 weeks. Seriously was the worst 2 weeks of my life. I wish upon everything that I had gone and got the shot instead of dealing with the pains of the flu. .
