my baby boy has hit 20lbs and is officially too long for his infant carrier.. So i'm looking into getting him a new car seat... Whats the best?! I liked the Graco my ride, but that thing is huuge and I have another carseat and a booster in my backseat already (i'm a nanny) so any ideas would be great! I want something SAFE, affordable and able to ERF! Thanks!

I'm not sure... We have the True Fit for both of my kids, but they are in captains chairs and we have the room for them.

What carseat and booster do you already have in there? The Radian is the skinniest seat, but it's more expensive and it's very tall.

I am a Canadian, breastfeeding (it IS best, there is nothing even close to that nutrition and bond), co sleeping, extended rear facing (if you don't rear face to the maximum of your seat, you're NOT doing all you can to protect your child), baby wearing, Non spanking (I want my kids to respect me, not fear me) ANTI- CIO, homemade baby food making, cloth diapering, organic (chemical free household!) recycling mama to TWO! My husband is my equal and best friend, not my master and I believe basic health care should be a human RIGHT, not a privilege.

What type of car do you have and what seats do you have in there already? And what type of budget do you have? At a first guess I would suggest a radian because its narrow making it good for three across and rearfaces to either 40 or 45lbs, and should get you too booster age. It does have a high incompatiblity rate though so I would find a locate store that stocks it and try it out before you buy.

I dont really know the official name..  i would like to keep it under 200$ ( but I also wont the SAFEST and most comfortable out there..)  I have a britax marathon and a booster in the back seat already. I like the Britax but I dont think they are all that for what you have to pay.. any more advivce would be great! Thanks!!!

I would consider the roundabout 50. The thing that set Britax apart from the competion is that they can be tethered rearfacing, which is a huge safety benefit, especially if you are planning to ERF. The roundabout 50 is similar to the marathon except it only harnesses to 50lbs and is 50 bucks cheaper.
