Okay so i totally got bashed on baby gaga for this and no i'm not lying but is it normal for babies to do these things at this age

At week one my daughter was holding her head (little to no help at all)

At week two she was holding her own bottle (still needing some help) and pushing her self up with me hold onto her hands

At week 4 smiling, scooting, and cooing

Mine is only 6wks right now but she has been doing all these things except holding a bottle, she is breast feeding. My other two girls did the same thing. They all were also making high pitched noises when we play with them, kind of like they were trying to laugh.

My kids held there heads up pretty much the day they were born.   However they were large babies and very strong.  It sounds pretty normal to me what you are experiencing... Why someone would bash you for saying this is beyond me... weird.

My dd was able to hold her head up for a few seconds in the hospital already. She never had a bottle since she was/still is breastfeed. Her first smile was also around 4 weeks. I don't know why anyone would bash you over this?

I think people would bash because there is a set guidline of what babies do generally. I am kinda skeptical about the OP's baby, but it seems not impossible b/c u are all saying ur babies did the same thing around that age. But is seems like she is bragging a little and that would offend others that have babies who were exactly at the limit or later. So she really didn't need to post this, but what is done is done. The OP just needs to understand she may be making other parents feel a little bad cuz their child isn't as fast with the milestones as her kid.

That's a shame you got bashed...I don't believe that should ever happen.

It is rare for babies that young to accomplish so much, but it is possible.

She's a beautiful baby....enjoy her before she grows up too fast on you.

Hugs....
