Do you think a fever of 102.8 can be caused by teething alone?

My DS is 15 months and has ran a fever the past 2 days.  The highest so far has been 102.8.  It comes down with tylenol.  Do you think teething could make it be this high?

yes and no, the teething alone no, but with teething can come other things like sinus problems and ear infections. all 3 of my boys ALWAYS got a ear infection when teething.

also, there is a lot of things going around, hope your little one feels better soon.

My pediatrician always told me no. Teething doesn't cause a temp that high.

I think there is something going on besides the teething- a cold or infection.

Teething doesn't cause fevers. If he has a fever it's due to something else that needs addressing.

My 15 month old had a fever that high about 2 weeks ago.  It lasted for about three days and then a few days later she got a rash and she was really moody.  I was told it was roseola.  She has been fine since then.  Good luck.
