tax refund: update in red

Hey y'all, was wondering if anyone is having problems with their federal return... It said I was supposed to receive mine on or before February 9th up until last Friday, and then on Friday it says on or before February 16th... totally ticked me off... for almost 2 weeks it said February 9th...

Just checked the IRS website and apparently they found a mistake in my return to my favor!!! WOO HOO! And it is supposed to be direct deposited in my account Friday! Thanks for all the comments mommas!

Well you won't get it either one of those dates b/c they only make deposits on Fridays.

But I do know ours is going to take a little longer than I had thought it would. We efiled last week & I figured it would be here this friday but they are saying next friday. But right now is probably a pretty busy time for ppl filing to get their returns.

Did you do them at a tax place like H&R Block or did you do them yourself online? I did mine at Instant Tax Service and I got my state back last Tuesday. And I haven't received my Federal yet either.

I just filed mine yesterday so I have not ran into that problem, yet. I do know -based on past experience- that it can take any where from 8 days to almost 3 weeks to 4 weeks to get a return back. Even though they initially say it will be less than 2 weeks. I am talking about the E-file way. Last year, it took them 10 days to direct deposit the money. The previous year it took them almost 3 weeks to direct deposit it. I think it depends on the time that your file. I think they get a surge on peoples taxes. Meaning so many people do it at once during certain times, so they have to catch up.

On the IRS website ours is still saying the 9th...so we'll see.

Maybe they found an error? I don't know sorry mama!

I did mine on taxact.com like I always do... I was just curious if anyone seen a change in the direct deposit dates like I did.... I know they only do the direct deposits on Fridays.... so maybe it will be here Friday... I'll let y'all know! hugs

Oh and I did get my state 10 days ago... so I am assuming if I got my state, I will get my federal...?

ours was a week late. after talking to the irs i found out they changed the work credit or something on ours. they said it wasnt an error just a change.
