What did you take to the hospital with you?  What are some of the best things needed/wanted?

I honestly cant remember what I packed last time other than a change of clothes for my husband and some snacks.

I know this time around I also have to pack an overnight bag for my son to go to the grandparents for a few days.

I bought a couple pretty nightgowns suitable for nursing. The hospital's gowns are great for giving birth in, but I wanted something pretty for afterward. A robe, underwear, any cosmetics, deodorant, comb and brush,  a book or puzzle books. outfit for the baby, receiving blankets.

This is going to sound silly, but the week before my c-section my dad bought me a Hospital Bag and filled it for me.  It was very sweet.  There was a robe, a blanket, a cool set of Jammies with feet.  There were shower shoes, all the shower fixins.shampoo, conditioner, a louffa, soap.  A few word search books and pens and a little note on top that says Daddy Loves you!
