I love this little poem, something about the cadence and the joy of human contact:

Jenny Kissed Me

- Leigh Hunt (1784-1859)

Jenny kissed me when we met,
Jumping from the chair she sat in;
Time, you thief! who love to get
Sweets into your list, put that in.
Say I'm weary, say I'm sad;
Say that health and wealth have miss'd me;
Say I'm growing old, but add-
Jenny kiss'd me.

“A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.” - winston churchill

i bought a little sign at an art fair that has that saying on it - it reminds me to look on the bright side of things (even when i don't want to!)

My Pastor once said:

"If people cannot make you happy, they cannot make you unhappy"

i try my best to always keep that in mind when dealing with people!

In the end it wasn't between you and them, it was between you and God.

"This life's dim window of the soul

Distorts the heavens from pole to pole

And leads you to believe a lie.

When you see with, not through, the eye"

I can't remember who said it, but I read it once, and it kind of spoke to me I guess.

I have a couple

In the end, what matters most was not the words of your enemies, but the silence of your friends. (or something really close to that)

and

Life is a lesson, you learn it when you're through

I'm sure there's more but I'm having a hard time thinking right now

Sounds right. I've typed it with his name underneath it quite a few times, I'm surprised I forgot...
