my daughter has to fly to see her dad in the summer. She has my maiden name. I got married when she was 3 (not BD) . Her dad is order to pay for her flights back and fourth. His parents pay, but anyways they have started booking her flight with my married name. Just curious if that is even legal.  Especially with todays security measure.

Secondly- shes is 7 and had notice her name isn't right, and it upset her.

It is illegal, and if they get caught they will have to buy any other ticket. The airlines say because of her age no on will probably stop her. After all she doesnt have to show her I.D. The lady was perfectly nice about it though.

Idk - here's a bump.. maybe give the airline a call and see what they say?

I am almost positive the ticket has to be bought with her birth name which is the one on her birth certificate.
