Calorie Count Disclosure

Hi Everyone!

April over in The Stir blogged about a Calorie Count Slideshow that compared the calories in many different items.  She also mentioned how in NYC calorie counts are required on the menus in restaurants.

What do you think?  Should calorie counts be required?

I don't know about required, but I'm definitely going to have more respect for a restaurant that discloses the nutrition information about their food. It can be really hard to guess which dishes are healthier (calories hide in the darndest things) so it's nice to be able to walk in, look at a menu and know right away what's going to fit in my diet.

I wish all restaurants would disclose calorie and nutrition information on the menu.

Calorie counts should not be required.

I would love it if they were on menus! I'm dieting now and am counting calories and it is really hard to guesstimate at restaurants. I don't know if they should be required but it sure would be helpful!
