making a mess

My children are 3 and 4 years old, no sooner than I turn my back away from them they get into the refrigerator, cabinets, or whatever they can get their hands on. When I walked into the living room the other morning, I had a whole dozen eggs busted in my floor can somebody give me some advice on what to do to make this problem go away. Thanks.

Make them clean it up and then they lose a  privilege.  We have the opposite problem with my 3 year old, he is extremely anal retentive about messes and getting dirty..which is sooo annoying.  Anyway, from the time my son was a baby I refused to live with a bunch of barriers.  I just taught him what he can do and can not do.  If he does something he should not be doing, he gets punished..simple :)

Run away. Just kidding.

Childproof. Keep them in the room you are in.

IDK maybe it would help if you got a lock for the refrig? That way they couldn't get in if it was locked.
