Help! My five year old son asks questions that I don't have the answers too!

My son is constantly asking me questions.  Many of them I know he already knows the answers too, or have no logical answers.  I have to say he is very bright, has a high IQ and has even been reading for the last year!  My husband is wonderful and answers all his questions but I am at a loss..It's driving me crazy!!

I once asked my dad if earthquakes are felt in airplanes... he told me yes. He also told me watermelons grow on trees... and he told me that shaving cream makes you grow a beard. (I got into his stuff) I quit asking him LOL

If you truly don't know it is ok to say "I don't know honey but that is a good question. " : )

There's nothing wrong with admitting that you don't know.

Be honest. Tell him you don't know and then either look it up on the computer, go to the library and get a book on it, or put it on a questions list on the refrigerator and wait for a weekly trip to the library. If it is an unanswerable question like "Which came first  the chicken or the egg?" take a poll of the opinions of people you know.
