I just washed my teenager's IPOD in the washer. I took it out and stuck it in a bag of rice. Do you think I saved it?

A full cycle in the washer?

Doubt it.

I have a friend who washed and dried an iPod and it survived.

I'm torn. Part of me wants to say I told you how many times to check your pockets, Then the part is sad because it the only thing that his dad ( my-x) actually spent money on.

I dropped my iPhone in a puddle in the rain and it sat there for an hour before I found it and it survived..... It was full submerged when I found it....

I know what you mean. I'd go easy him when you tell him though. I'm a grown woman and I can't tell you how many phones I've washed in my own pockets.
If it's shot maybe have him earn half of what it costs to replace it then you help with the rest? It'd give him time to learn from his mistake...

Just make sure you give it enough time to completely dry out before attempting to turn it on. It should be fine.

DH dropped his in a fuel tank. There's fuel under the screen. Anyone know how to take it apart? LOL
