Do you use peroxide in your carpet cleaner? (PIOG)

This is for those with LIGHT colored carpet of course.

When we were fostering indoor dogs who pissed on the carpet, I found this great recipe online for urine smell. Well it turns out it cleans my oatmeal colored carpet perfectly! (Dawn dish soap, water, peroxide)

But I get tired of handwashing spots, and am thinking of adding it to my carpet cleaner. (just the peroxide) What do you think?

I have never thought of that before. I use liquid Tide for now. Next time I need to fill up my detergent container I will try peroxide.

Liquid Tide huh? HMMM. We only use what the thing tells us to. It's expensive. Well, so is Tide right?

I only put a tablespoon or 2 (depending on soil level) into the detergent tank. I use Tide for laundry and got the idea from Tide's Facebook fan page.

It works well and the carpet smells nice afterward.
