Has anyone had to deal with a middle schooler who suddenly because anxious and worried when he/she was otherwise normally just fine and confident? How did you handle it?

A girl I used to nanny for went through this and they ended up finding a school close by that was a k-8 elementry school and she did sixth grade there and was fine by 7th grade. She just wasn't ready to be out of the elementary school atmosphere!

No.  Good luck figuring out what to do.  Maybe the school counselor woudl be a good place to start?

my oldest has graduated HS already but she did very well going into MS......I would sit my child down and see if they would share what their thoughts and feelings are if I had an anxious child.

Maybe introduce her to some kids that already go to the school?
