Avoiding sugary and processed foods helps us to stay healthy and eat better first thing in the morning.  Love fresh fruits and whole grains.  And we make sure to take our vitamins:)

Normally we eat oatmeal and some kind of fruit. We're oatmeal addicts.

I fix my kids one of 4 options:

Microwaved Plain oatmeal and 1/2 cup of milk, to which I add, 1/4 cup blueberries or banana, 1-2 teaspoons flax seed oit, 1 tablespoon brown sugar. (These things cool the oatmeal so we can eat it right away.)

1 scrambled egg, choice of 1/2 cup fruit and toast with butter.

Whole grain pankakes or french toast, egg or sausage and fruit

I try to have protein in their breakfast to sustain a level blood sugar or energy level until lunch, but the quick breakfast is the oatmeal.

Whole wheat biscuit or pancake, with eggs in butter and bacon. Either an orange or oj. and a glass of whole milk.

I eat oatmeal with a sliced banana, and our son always has some sort of fruit with his breakfast.
