I just got my hair done and it struck up a conversation of "what age?" We have two girls, so its gonna come up eventually! There only 4months and almost 2 but the years of, mom can I? Arent to far ahead, sadly. DH and I agreed we will wait till they ask, but were thinking around 13, highlights only or lowlights.

When they can buy the dye themselves.

None permanent probably 5-6 permanent I would go with about 12-13 for high lights 16 for any other color which must be approved by me first so nothing like bright pink or such.

Never. When she is 18 she can decide to damage her hair if she wants.

My DD just asked me about this the other day. She said she wants pink or purple hair when she turns 7. I told her we would talk about it when she gets closer to 7. She just turned 4 in June. :-)

I'm not sure yet how I feel about it. I don't want her thinking she HAS to color it to be cute or such, but I also want to let her express herself and she is very much into fashion and what-not.
