How to approach this.

I want to try to get to know other moms at the daycare, but it's hard.  In the mornings we're all "strictly business" and it's just in and out.  Then at the end of the day we're all ready to make the pick up and get home.

I'd like to get some playmates for my son over the weekends, but not sure how to go about getting to know the parents.

Any suggestions?

maybe notice which kids your son plays with the most or close to his age and the other kids mom close to your age and then causally say "oh how look at them how cute, little friends". and let the conversation go from there.. ive never done it before but thats how i'd start =)

Maybe organize a playdate at your house. Somehow get the other kid's info and contact them. A playdate is a great ice breaker!

Invite them for a scheduled playdate at your home. Give them each a paper invite.
