I feel like a teenager wasting my time

Iam 40 and had a son 7 months ago. I was depressed, asked for an unpaid leave at work and relocated with my parents. At the time I asked for the unpaid leave, I didn't know if I was going to quit my job and stay where my parents live or go back.

Now I know what I want but i can't cut my unpaid leave short.I am still with my parents and I feel that I am wasting my time until August when I am scheduled to return to work.

yes I enjoy being with my son and I play and take him out, bathe him, feed him .etc...but then I waste time online juts doing nothing. I feel like I wanna be back where my job is but I sublet my apartment

it feels like being stuck and I am not sure how to get out

any ideas?

thanks

Enjoy this time with your son. You'll miss it when you're back. Take him to play dates and make some new mommy friends

If you have time to spend on the internet you have time for a hobby, lol.

There's always time for a hobby, especially when they are small and nap a lot!! Join moms groups, play dates, or go to story time at the library. Enjoy this time with your LO while you can!

This would be an excellent time to further your education. Either toward your profession or some courses that you've always thought to take and never have.

You really can't go back? Put baby in daycare, or find a job where you at, even part time, maybe parents can babysit? Or volunteer somewhere?

I wish I could go back now

I asked for an unpaid leave for th entire semester as I didnt know how long it was going to take me to get over post partum depression.

They had to put the sub on a contract until June 1 so that´s why I was told that I can´t cut the leave short.

I am afriad that if I look for a job, it might go against the leave. It was written as ¨time off to rest¨

anyway

thanks
