help? having issues with this.

my son is 18 months, and i have THEE hardesst time brushing his teeth.

he fights me so much on it. ive even tried letting him do it himself or brushing my teeth at the same time. 



advice??

I used to have to put DD in a head lock to brush her teeth, lol.

I would sit her on the counter facing the mirror, feet in the sink, and wrap my arm under her chin so my hand was on the top of her head. That held her still enough that I could get it done.

After a while she got used to it; now she likes brushing her teeth.... most of the time, lol.

Have you tried different flavors of toothpaste?

he has some kiddie srawberry banana flavor. thats probably part of the problem. he wants to suck it all off the toothbrush lol

Hold him down. That's what I had to do with mine at that age.

He wasn't scared for life lol

Now at 2.5 he LOVES brushing his teeth! He literally brushes about 5 times every day and cries when I make him stop lol. He could sit at the sink all day and "brush, rinse, spit" if I let him!
