Last night I was unable to sleep and was up way past my normal time, I finished up a movie and decided to check in on my 2 1/2 yo DD, she was quiet but still wanted to peek in on her.  I opened her door and she was standing right there eyes closed blankie in hand and thumb in mouth standing asleep.

It scared me so bad, i asked her "baby what are you doing up?" she didnt move talk or anything and then when i started walking towards her she turned arround and started walking back to her bed, got in and laid down. Creepy!!!!!! She didnt wake up the whole time.

How do you know if you kid is going to be a sleep walker? How can you prevent sleep walking accidents?(ie getting into things, trouble, getting out ect) - Her dad (who is not in her life) has some serious sleep problems and was a sleep walker and sleep cooker( he would cook full meals in his sleep and eat then go back to bed)

My husband was. I was. And dd is. She has gotten out of bed went to the fride opened it . When the husband asked her what she was doing she said I'm going to the bathroom. He walked her to the bathroom and she just started bawling. She wasn't awake. I tucked her back in. She didn't remember a thing though. When I was little my mom would wake up and find me sitting on the stairs. She would ask me what in doing I would tell her "sitting her"

I was a really bad sleep walker. When I was about 10 I slept walk out of my house and walked to my neighbors house. Knocked on the door and told them I was looking for something. It was at 2am. Thankfully my neighbor was my best friend and not some creep. Her mom took me in and put me in her bunk bed and called my mom. I slept there and I was scare when I woke up. There really isn't anything you can do for it. After my incident my mom had to put special locks on the front door and at night a bell on my bedroom door so she could hear if I walked out. I still sleep walk and talk here and there but nothing bad. You just have to take precautions.
