I have several friends who love photography and post on several places (instagram app to name one) pictures of people. Now the pictures look amazing after they edit it and such but these people have no idea their pictures were taken and being posted on several sites at that. One friend posts pictures of Amish people and their kids too.
I would not want my photo to be posted with out approval but woul like other opinions.
I refuse to photograph others and their children without consent to post online, if I plan on posting online unless it's family and friends..
I don't think that's ok, especially of amish people who are generally very private people.
Whether I would like it or not doesn't matter.
Legally, those photos are their property and they can do whatever they want with them. I could take pictures of your kids in the street and post them all over the internet and there is nothing anyone can really do.

I would not post pictures of people if I do not have permission. I find it to be rude. Also, most Amish would be offended to have their pictures posted online. Quite a few would be offended just to have their picture taken. Definitely should not be going online.
Sadly it's true but those people are asshats for doing it, especially to the Amish folks.

I know. It is sad.

I would not like that at all but sadly its their property so they can do as they wish. I think its rude to do that without consent though.
