I'm so mad and upset!! There is no way a 5 year old could come up with such a rude poem!! I'm going to the school today to find out why this even got passed out and what's is gonna be done about it. Please give me advice... What would you do???
**UPDATE**
So sorry it took me a couple days it's been crazy!
I went to the school and had a conference with the principal and the teacher. His teacher had no idea that he had gotten such a rude card! She admitted that she didn't read them due to the fact they were all so little, how bad could it be right? Well the little boy who gave him the card said he liked my son and admitted that his 16 year old brother helped him with the card. The little boy's parents were called.
Thanks so much for all the advice!!!
That's terrible! I hope you get to the bottom of this and talk to your son so he knows this is just so wrong!

I would defintely talk to the teacher and find out where he got the card from, I'd be really upsest too! Thank God he doesn't understand that nonsense!

He knows it's wrong. I couldn't even read the card to him! I'm so glad he couldn't understand the words enough to get the meaning! I'm just stunned!

True. Who would think that kindergarteners would bring something like that in. Sounds like the boys older sibling got ahold of the valentine and thought he would be funny.
I would bring it to the teachers attention so she could notify the parents but it's nothing to get furious over. It's a stupid thing for the kid to do but it's pretty minor.

The teacher probably didn't even look through them all...
Children need to know right from wrong and be taught respect and manners, that's the problem these days with so many kids who have no respect for anyone, not even themselves and it all starts at home.
Quoting ChiliFlies:Rude as it was, the kid is entitled to his/her opinion of another person. I don't see what real good it would do to talk to Little Johnny/Sarah about it other than to say it was rude. But thier opinion will remain and they will simply learn to be more descreet in how they express their dislike next time. I dont think it would accomplish much is all I'm saying.
