Worst Valentine for a 5 year old EVER!!!

My son came home yesterday with the most rude and obnoxious Valentine I have ever seen in my life!!! His teacher decided they would have a secret valentine as well as pass out the regular valentine cards. Well they ha to create a special valentine card for one child in their class whom the teacher choose for them. My son got his card from this little boy. The card reads: Roses are red, Daisies are yellow. You are one fine fellow. Then on the other side of the card in different handwriting it says: You are rotten, you are crummy, nasty, smelly, and yes even a dummy! You are absolutly awful, and your breath should be illegal. You are UGLY, you are simple (haha) your brain is like a pimple. You should soak your head in brine, WON'T YOU BE MY VALENTINE?

I'm so mad and upset!! There is no way a 5 year old could come up with such a rude poem!! I'm going to the school today to find out why this even got passed out and what's is gonna be done about it. Please give me advice... What would you do???

**UPDATE**
So sorry it took me a couple days it's been crazy!
I went to the school and had a conference with the principal and the teacher. His teacher had no idea that he had gotten such a rude card! She admitted that she didn't read them due to the fact they were all so little, how bad could it be right? Well the little boy who gave him the card said he liked my son and admitted that his 16 year old brother helped him with the card. The little boy's parents were called.

Thanks so much for all the advice!!!

That's terrible! I hope you get to the bottom of this and talk to your son so he knows this is just so wrong!

He knows it's wrong. I couldn't even read the card to him! I'm so glad he couldn't understand the words enough to get the meaning! I'm just stunned!

Wow that's ridiculous.. why would an adult write that on a card to a child. I hope this gets straighted out.

True.  Who would think that kindergarteners would bring something like that in.  Sounds like the boys older sibling got ahold of the valentine and thought he would be funny.

I would bring it to the teachers attention so she could notify the parents but it's nothing to get furious over.   It's a stupid thing for the kid to do but it's pretty minor.

Children need to know right from wrong and be taught respect and manners, that's the problem these days with so many kids who have no respect for anyone, not even themselves and it all starts at home.

Quoting ChiliFlies:

Rude as it was, the kid is entitled to his/her opinion of another person. I don't see what real good it would do to talk to Little Johnny/Sarah about it other than to say it was rude. But thier opinion will remain and they will simply learn to be more descreet in how they express their dislike next time. I dont think it would accomplish much is all I'm saying.

So it's okay for an older sibling or who ever wrote it to be so rude to a 5 year old when they don't even know the person???
