Teacher troubles... How do you handle them?

I think DD's 4K teacher treats her unfairly & she is always negative, with nothing nice to say. I know my daughter has her moments, but she is a good kid... I'm not the type to start stuff & I don't like confrontation but I think she's starting to cross the line & I don't want my daughter mistreated. However, I'm afraid if I say something I may make things worse...

If you've had problems with a teacher before, how did you handle it? Or if you are a teacher, what advice do you have?

Only way to solve is to talk to the teacher. Working with them instead of against them is the best solution.

You are your child's only advocate. If you don't stand up for her who will?

Start with an email to the teacher. If you can't do that head straight to the schools counselor and talk to him/her. From there the principal & school board.

That's what I was wondering.

She's 4 years old & in 4K, in a regular elementary school... I think the teacher picks on her unfairly. I've done volunteer work in the school & chaperoned on their field trip, and I know that she treats the kids differently... I'm currently trying to set up an appointment with the guidance counselor... I'm just new to all this, she is my only child & this is the first time I've had to deal with school issues.
