I'm a single parent and well my dad isn't the greatest of all dads but he wont forget my birthday ever. Not after I told him what a friend in class did to her father when he forgot her birthday. She took his credit card and spent $300 on a massage, when her father got the bill he asked what the $300 was and she went my birthday present and he went oh Iforgot it didn't I, she went yep. Well I told my dad that story and now I can guaranteeI'll always have a birthday present. No, I'm not talking about $300 worth of gifts, for Christmas I asked for the harry potter DVD set, for my birthday last yr I ask for a digital camera. This yr I'll probably ask for gift card to my favorite tea place teavana. None of my gifts are or ever have been ridiculous.
I know it's cruel but I thought the story was funny.
Good point. We aren't entitled to presents from anyone. A present is a gift, not a requirement.

My dad always forgets mine. I consider myself lucky I even have a dad to forget it though. I'd never say something like that to him. Honestly haven't cared about gifts or anything for it since I was a small child.
Wow. Out of curiosity, how old was your friend when she did that?
