My cousins got married after Christmas there centerpieces was part of there first Xmas tree and tea light candles. They had friends that had a good sound system for a dj and did this all in there church. The meal was the most expense. Ad they had a small ale for themselves and made cupcakes for everyone else. Cute simple and made the meaning that thy don't need money to love each other.

We got married in a gazebo with a nondenominational priest. I liked the outside setting. Got my dress on clearence for $30 at Deb. We did the reception in a VFW hall but it could easily be done outside in a back yard. BBQ and just invite close family and friends. All in all I think ours cost $1000 but most was for the hall.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Hubby and I got married at a local park that has a gazebo next to a pond. All we paid for was the minister. I bought print your own wedding invitations from the dollar store and they looked stellar. My mil and I made all the bouquets with stuff from the craft store and we only invited family and close friends and didn't ask for gifts so when we went out to eat at a resteraunt afterwards no one had a problem chipping in on the bill. Mil also has a friend who is a photographer so we got amazing pictures. Our "honeymoon" was a night in a hotel nearby and a trip to cedar point the next day. After all DS was only 5 months old. Hardest part was finding a baby tux. All together with dress and tuxes less than $2000.

Courthouse? You could have a small group and keep it more personal,a small family get together after the ceremony.

Elope at the courthouse.
If you really want a ceremony, skip the expensive venue and search for something free. Buy a dress on sale from a regular store that doesn't come with the "wedding" label (even a white prom dress on sale after prom season is over can look just life a "real" wedding dress), skip the wedding party & flower arrangements. Just you, your fiancé, an officiant, and a small group of you closest friends. Ask a friend to take pictures for you. Everyone can go to a restaurant/bar afterward for a "reception" and you can make it known up front that everyone pays for their own meal & drinks.
Getting married dosen't have to cost a fortune! Congratulations!
