How can you tell normal toddler bowed legs from bowed legs caused by a problem? Or when does it become a problem? I think ds's legs are normal but my mom thinks they (especially the left) are to curved and I should take him to a doctor.

my sons were about that much bowed when he was younger ...but now he is much taller and three and pretty much straightend out ...he also started walking at nine months and i think that had something to do with it ....if you are concerned at all just ask your pedi :)

I would ask your pedi but DD looks about like that. Last time I asked her doc about she said it was fine and she'd outgrow it.

Most babies have some sort of bowleggedness, partially because of their diapers. The main treatment for simple bowleggedness is simply putting their shoes on the opposite feet. This puts the arches of the shoes on the outside, where they have to adjust to put the weight on their actual arches.

dd's are at least that bowed...maybe a little more. Neither her pedi nor the chiro are concerned.

Just be very careful if u do that cause you can also make them have flat feet which can also cause more problems.

Talk to your Doc. at your next appointment.
