Trying to Gain Weight

All my life I have been skinny, all my life I have tried to gain weight. Even when I was pregnant I gained only 15 pounds and after the baby came out, the nurses said I didn't even look as if I had been pregnant. I breastfeed and have to eat constantly just to maintain my weight. I am 5'4'' and weigh 115lbs. I eat a lot of high calorie foods, I drink milk, eat lots of bread, grains fruits and vegetables. I just don't know what else I can do. I am not one of those who will eat junk either, because that will give you the unhealthy weight. Any advice?

You can try drinking Ensure.  They make different kinds for different nutritional benefits but you'll probably want to try the Ensure plus.  I believe that is the one that helps you gain or at least maintain weight.  You could also try the Ensure with high protein to gain more muscle tone.

My mom's best friend drank that stuff when she had cancer to help maintain her weight through chemo.

As long as you're healthy, I wouldn't worry about it. According to the charts, you're on the low end of the normal range, but I've never been a huge fan of charts anyway :)

Have you ever had your thyroid levels checked out at all.  If you want to gain weight you would have to eat about 500 more calories a day over what your body needs.  Most likely at least 2000 calories.  I wish you luck.
