20 months between 1 & 2.
5.5 years between 2 & 3. 7 years between 1 & 3.
I really don't think there is a perfect age difference. #2 was a happy accident and I wouldn't have waited 5.5 years intentionally, but it was what I got. Having them close in age has definite advantages, like getting out of diapers quickly. But my youngest also got to be an only child during the day, while his siblings were in school.
we're ttc #2 right now, but we're trying to have 2-2.5 years between ezch kid.
we based that off of the spacing in our own families and our friends and their siblings.
I wanted mine 2-3 years apart. But I just have 1!! LOL!!
Three years. The older one gets to be the baby for a while, and they are still old enough to play together. Also, we only had one year overlap of the kids in college- and the expense.
My two are 6 years apart. I love the age difference. I was able to devote myself to my DS one on one until he went into kindergarden. Then when DD was born she had my full attention while her brother was at school.
Mine are 4 yrs apart. I used to think 21/2 was the perfect number. Now I think it depends on the family. 4 yrs even though it wasn't planned is working out really well.
Quoting mamaeagle216:We have two children. Our oldest, Seth, is 18 months an one week older than his baby sister Abigail.
Worked for my brother and I. So we decided that was for us.
