Moving

My DH has applied for a job in Idaho Falls, and I am a a combination of scared, nervous, and excited. I am really hoping that he gets the job. I am ready to leave the city I am currently living in. I am a little scared because it means that we will be moving away from my family and also away from his family. We would be moving with 2 dogs, along with 2 small children (3yrs,& 4yrs). Any advice anyone can give me about how to go about moving or the location, would be much appreciated. Thanks

I'm not quite in the same boat as you but close. My DH is looking for new work as well and we'd have to move no matter what. My family & I have lived here forever so knowing that I'll have to move at some point makes me sad. Good luck with your move!

Oh I totally understand! If we move I'll know absolutely no one and its scary! I live outside of Chicago now. His work sends him all over so it could be anywhere from Florida to Ohio to Texas. He works in nuclear power plants so mostly farm areas and I'm so used to suburbs!

Chicago is a great area to live, I was born and raised for 13 years just north of Chicago. Currently I live in Texas. Texas is great and I love it but the town I live in is just not really anything to do espically if you have small children. Texas is very HOT though.

I like the heat but not Texas heat! I'm in the SW burbs now. I wouldn't mind Florida which is hot too but I could definitely do without snow in the winter! I hate Chicago winters.

Im in Boise. The eastern dude of the state is very close to Utah. Its a high Mormon population which is great because the community is friendly.
