about how many toys does your child have and what kind. i think mine has way to many and way to many small things that keep ending up in my living room. is it ok just to leave him witgh his bigger toys like his cars and his learning toys? ihave a 3 year old a 1 year old and a new born and its hard for me to keep up with picking his toys up all day every day
My middle one is 6 and has a ridiculous amount of Star Wars, Legos & Action figures..his is all in his room which looks like a warzone but at least it's contained.
Youngest DD has everything girly, if it's pink or princess she has it..it's absurd how much she has. her room is overlfowing she has 1/2 the living room and 1/2 the office..I get rid of stuff and she doesn't even notice. Her bday is in a couple weeks and I dread all the new stuff coming in. I wish people (family..) would listen when I say small things, or books.
1 toybox (decent size filled with cars&mat, imaginext batman stuff (we have every character), the imaginext sized starwars, transformers, 4 nerf guns, then a misc department) on top are boardgames, legos, trios & the imaginext batcave and joker funhouse (my younger one is continueing that collection and getting the green lantern planet for his bday and the jailhouse for christmas), 2 baskets (1 baby , 1 sport) & one shelf with bigger baby toys. i have 2 boys btw.
not much compared to other people i dont think. they dont get alot of toys. and my older son isnt into toys too much anymore (hes 6) just legos really & he loves to color so we have a whole end table cabinet filled with coloring and works books and they have 2 1/2 HUGE shelves FILLED with books.
My daughter has a toy box with mostly small toys and some big toys. She keeps all of her toys in her room and she prefers them to be put away when not in use so thats never an issue. My son has a toybox in our living room and most of his toys are big. I clean up everynight after he's in bed.
