I asked my mom and she couldn't help which sucked! thought she would know anyways. I am trying to get a new rental house, I have to call to see what all I have to do to get it but I am in a tight spot because on my lease now I have to give a 30 day notice and the new place we want is open for rent July 6 when are next rent is due.....I am trying to be as clear as I can but what do I do because I don't want to tell the landlord now we are moving out then we end up not getting the house we want....so how do things like this work? I don't believe we have to do a credit check or anything but I have to call Monday morning, but I never did anything like this and neither has my husband, we have the money now to get it and still this rent if need be. but still what to do?

you will probably get stuck paying Julys rent where you live now. When is your current lease up?

Would I have to pay rent the 6th?
Could we move into the new house the 7th if everything went threw?
If I give a notice what does that mean if the house doesn't come threw?
sorry just making sure I am clear as I can be just need to know how this all works!

If you get new place you will have to pay them for july. They may prorate it or not Because you wont be there for a full month.. Your current landlord will most likely make you pay Julys rent too.

So according to your current lease you are responsible for paying. July & Augusts rent even if you move out.

oh wow, this is so confusing, What if I give the notice and then someone else gets the house during the month of July we want to move to, will the landlord still kick us out since we gave the notice?

Do not give notice until you are sure you have other place. Even if you give notice today you are responsible for all the rent money through AUG. Once you get the new place, then give notice. ASK the current landlord if he will let you out of lease at the end of July. Do you know anyone looking to move? IF you can find someone to rent your current place the Landlord usually lets you out of the lease BUT not always.

my sister did this...they actually had to give 60 day notice but ended up not finding a place. they had to move to a different apartment cause they already rented out the one she was staying in
.....but my guess is your in a house, best to be honest and ask

You need to honor the lease you're in and give the 30 day notice. But I would wait till you confirm it yours. You can move into the new place when its available and just take your time cleaning out the old place...
