Changing Facial washes?? recomendations please??

Since I was 14 my choice of facial wash is Spectrojel.

I never really had issues with my sin until now.

I am 22 years old and my skin is breaking out like crazy, I find my skin can get oily in my T zone, I have huge pours now, baggy circles, redness
:( booooo..

Can i switch facial washes??? I heard it is good to stick to one.... but SpectroJel doesn't seem to be working...

Any good reccomendations for a facial wash system,or websites to determin my skin type?

Thanks!!!

i believe if you go to Sephora they give samples for everything so you can get a few face washes to try out :) ...this is what i use http://www.sibubeauty.com/seabuckthorn_balancing_facial_cleanser.php

ok so a little background first.. I had PERFECT skin until i turned 19. and i mean no zits, pimples or blemishes and my pores were tiny. i never even had to put on makeup becuause i have long dark lashes also.

anyways so when i turned 19 i got crazy red skin. breakouts all the time. i tried everything under the sun for the next 6 yrs. proactive, noxema and even aveno skin calming stuff didnt work. (these are all good choices just not for my CRAZY skin), i cut out carbs, greasy foods, sugars- all the stuff that is supposed to work  and i tried some of the homemade" natural" remides... no success. i had given up

anyways about 2 months ago i was at walmart and decided out of the blue to try loreal 360 clean(its the one with the little pop out scrubblet) they have some diffrent ones but i use the blue and white bottle for sensitive skin. it has cleared my face like nothing else. almost all the red is gone and i hardly ever have pimples any more. it dries my skin a little but that lets me know its working i think. anyways if ur gonna try something new i would definatly give this a try. (and if it doesnt work u still get the little scrublett that works great with any face wash.. )

good luck i know all to well how this can be frustrating

I use the Oil Cleansing Method (you can Google it). It's the only thong that has ever cleared up my skin - I have tried everything before. I still get a stray pimple here or there, but nothing close to what I had before.

Our skin changes a lot in general until 25 and pregnancy throws a wrench in there too. Totally normal for certain products to stop working. It'll change big time when you hit your 40's too.

My dermatologist always recommended cetaphil face wash. I'm 34 and had crazy bad acne crazy bad. I used the cetaphil face wash and moisturizer

I've recently switched to Mary Kaye botanicals face scrub and it is awesome a little pricey but awesome it really works its three steps everyday but a few times a week u use a face mask that tightens ur pores and works amazingly.

Also check ur make up. I switched to Almaty since its non comedegenic and it worked for a long time. I began breaking out again and switched totally to Mary Kaye. AWESOME difference. They also have a t zone oil control that works amazingly. And make sure u change ur make up brushes out every other month or so. When u have ur breakouts u r actually putting that bacteria on ur make up brushes and reapplying the bacteria to ur face everyday :/ keeping new clean brushes helps tremendously too ;)

It sounds like you're using something that's far too harsh for your skin.

I'd recommend finding something for dry and sensitive skin. The dry skin part will moisturize you and stop your skin overreacting and making far too much oil, and the sensitive skin part will ensure there's no ingredients that people's skin tends to react to (scents, colours, preservatives, 'astringents' etc.)

Its all about the exfoliation. I've dealt with breakouts since I was 11ish. The best thing for my skin is the Mia clairsonic....my sister gave it to me for my bday one year. We both have crappy breakouts. If I don't use it, my skin changes! Since every Facial cleanser I've used (except proactive) seems to not do much by itself, I just try to use one with either sacilyc acid or benzoyl peroxide in it.

I'm telling ya, it's all about the exfoliation. Give it a shot, even if you only have a washcloth.

I love Philosophy, I don't love the price. However, it's the only one I've found that gives me the results I'm looking for.
