Tips on switching from breast to bottle

My daughter is currently 2 1/2 months and I am having some issue with breastfeeding that have led me to try and switch to the bottle. However she has different thoughts on that! I need any tips on how to get her to take the bottle. She is not completely opposed to it. She will swallow and kinda chew on it but she will not latch or suck on it. Any thoughts would be great thanks.

I switched my daughter at the same age. I used the drop in bottles because the nipples were more like real nipples and also add a 1oz of apple juice to sweeten it up because breast milk is sweeter then formula. Unless your pumping.

I don't have any advice on getting her to take a bottle, my boys never would after a certain age... but have you tried to find a possible solution to the issues you're having with breastfeeding instead?   I can definitely help there if you're interested!  :)

Can you give a 2 month old juice?

Well it is multiple issues. I have OAL and she has really bad reflux, and she is not gaining the weight she needs to.

Are you just switching to a bottle, or are you switching her to formula too?

Formula too.

It's not safe to give a baby that age juice. Try joining the breastfeeding group. They should be able to help with how to fix the issues you're having.

No juice.   Have you worked on getting the OAL under control?   Sometimes you have to do really long blocks... and that may solve her reflux.   If it doesn't, then her reflux is likly to just get worse with bottles and formula.   What's her weight history?

I wish I had advice for you, but my babies never would take a bottle.

If you're both having issues I would consult her pedi. They have your history and can probably make the most sound recommendation based on that.
Good luck mama.
