I'm trying to make this square its a sun ray hexagon I found it on Google its like the second link I think. I get lost on round two, I just don't understand where it wants me to put the stitches. Can anyone help? I can post pics to show where I'm at and so someone can tell me what to do next.

I've never done anything that looks like that but I've done tons!!! There is a site called revelry.com, you have to create an account but its free. There are TONS of free patterns on there! That's how I get alot of my pattern ideas from. You can also look at YouTube tutorials on crocheting, there are lots on there too!

If this is the site you used, you ss & ch1 then SC into the first space from your first round... If that makes sense...

You might also try asking about this on the Craft Cafe group, too:

Are you getting lost between the single * or at the **?

I've crocheted a lot.  I design my own stuff (hats, scarves, blankets, etc.)  Also, I happen to be able to figure out how to design pretty much anything I see (although it might not follow whatever a pattern might say), but I can follow a pattern too.  (just saying I think I can help, if I know what you need)

btw, in ch-2 sp means in chain two space (that is in the space created by the 2 chains you made in the previous round

I don't understand what to do after ch1 where does that next stitch go? I'll post a pick in a min.

This is my round 1 with the ch1 for round 2 the sc just goes where I've ch1? Where does the next sc go? In between the shells like in a granny square?

You need to make a marker so you know where your rounds end. You start stiching round 2 into round one as your base. Maybe you can find a video. i find those help me alot more than reading a pattern.
