Hubby and I are trying for another baby. Our daughter will be 3 at the end of july, and we are looking at names now cause with our daughter she didn't have a name until a week before I had her. Her name has A LOT of meaning to it, no family names just special meanings. Her name is Brylee Neysa Echelle. Well we are having issues coming up with a girls name this time. The boys is picked, William Lee Cole (william after my dad and grandad and after my hubby's bf) lee just cause we like it, and cole cause my middle name is nicole. Now the girl. Her first name is picked, Kora-lee (no special meaning just like it) we would love to name her after my hubby. Only problem, his given name is huel harralson and he goes by sonny. I know that grayson is a form a sonny but idk of a female form of it's help!

I would put Harralson in the middle. It will not be used often. My husband is Lawrence and I was going to use his name as a girls middle.

1 mom liked this

Huela is a girl's name which means bright mind and spirit.

Sonya and Sonni are nice adaptations of Sonny.

Is Huel pronounced like Jewel???  That would be a cute play on his name for a girl.

I like Hypermom's suggestion of using Jewel as a play on huell.  Sometimes family name's aren't that great.  I thank god my name is Darla, because my mother wanted to name me after her grandmother, who died the week before I was born.  Her name was Orpha Lute.  Ugggg.  I didn't even know her, so I sure didn't want to be stuck with that.  Meaning is good, but sometimes variation is too.  I got Darla because my dad was partial to the Little Rascals.  Whewww!

Hi, dont name your child an unusual name like mine, see the posts for 'I hate my sons name'. You will understand why.
