I live in florence ky. There is a 20-30 min walk to the nearest free fool, it's been 100 everyday this week it's to hot for my girls my youngest has asma and can barely breath it's so hot sometime. What indoor games could i play with them im on the 3rd floor in an apt so idk alot i can do were usually outdoor family?? any suggestions??
Hmm..Idk. What about a treasure hunt? Hiding treats through-out the house and have them search for them. If you want to be competive--whoever finds the most wins? Hope that helps :-/, Idk lol.
Does the 4 y-o like to build forts? Sheets over chairs, a flashlight and dry snacks etc. Playdough can pass a lot of time too. My kids used to love taking a "play bath." I would let them take any plastic toys in the water and some cups and containers of various sizes. Makes a mess but water cleans easy.
The 16 month old, wow, it's been so long for me I can't think that far back lol. Books, singing, big puzzles, that's all that comes to mind at the moment. Good luck and stay cool!
Great suggestions!
Welcome to the group.

I've done "Mother May I?", calastenics (the ones that don't involve jumping or can be modified), dancing or Freeze Dance (when the music's on-dance, when it's off-freeze), hide-and-seek (I made my room and bathrooms off limits, kitchen too depending on age), ??? I lived in a second floor apartment and sometimes didn't go out much when the summer/winter weather got to be too much for us. I just tried to think of games I played as a kid and modified them if I had to so as to be safe indoors.
best to you
In "Mother May I?" one person stands at one end of an area (indoors or out) and everyone else lines up oposite them. Then the "mother" says: ___(name here) take ___ (number) ____(make up some kind of step or action for the person to get closer to the "mother"). The "child" says: "Mother, may I?" Then the "mother" says: "yes, you may" or "no, you may not". Then the "mother" goes on to the next "child". Which ever "child" reaches the "mother" first wins (and has a turn at being the "mother", if you want to continue the game".
