My brother watches my son while I work, I help him with just about everything but housing. But we do live together atm, Im moving. Anyways while my brother was "watching" my son,my son got into diaper cream. Well ds spread it into the carpet, my brother from what it looks like just layed some towels on the cream and walked away. Ds also got some on my pillow anf my brother just tosses that on the floor. Am I wrong to ask/tell my brother he should clean the cream up?

He's an idiot for doing that but he's not your kid he's your brother.

I'd clean it but then mention a better way to handle if next time.

I mean, he watches your kid. That's huge no matter the arrangement.

Well again, it's a favor yes?

You two live together? His house or yours? I mean, you're moving out anyway. Let it go lol.

He definitely should have cleaned it up. But keep in mind, men "clean" things differently. Lol. My dh is very clean and organized, but sometimes when he does the dishes or cleans something, I feel like I have to go over what he did because it's really not clean.

Let it go. Clean it up and then lightly mention some time that you got the cream out of the carpet, and then let the subject drop.

How old is your son? If this is a disclipine issue, I think you should clean it up, but if he is a baby and doesn't know any better, yes your Brother should clean it up. If he is baby sitting for free and you are living with him though, maybe you should clean it up anyway.

Good luck with that.  Your brother probably thought he was doing good to watch your kid.  How old is your brother?  He should have cleaned up, but boys are slobs.

Very true. I personally would tell him how to better handle it and maybe ask him to watch ds while you clean it.

Yes.

If you're getting free babysitting, you shouldn't expect housekeeping.
