So when my son was born the Dr that circumcised him did not take off enough skin. Since then I have asked several Dr's about circumcising him but they told me at the time to give it about a yr. and he will grow into it (grow into the skin) Well he just made 2 and still has the same problem and it appears that he was never circumcised, I'm thinking about getting it done over but I really don't want my son to suffer.Has anyone else had their child circumcised when he was older.
UPDATE!! So come to find out my little one is just well endowed so the extra skin that was left is a necessity. So my husband and I have decided to leave him be, according to his pediatrician he will need it! Thanks for all the comments and advice.
Just an FYI my son and daughter in law couldn't afford to get their first son circumsized although they were insistent on it. Neither of them were working. I don't know how they figured they were going to be able to pay for it. She was on Medicaid as she was only 17 at the time. And Medicaid didn't consider it a necessary procedure They looked into it recently to see about getting it done and found that it would require a real surgery and would cost in the thousands. They obviously figured out it wasn't that necessary. They just had another baby last week. I have heard nothing of the "need" to circumsize this new baby boy.
