Progesteron Levels Low :(

I recently took a home pregnancy test, for which is came back positive. My doctor gave me an estimated due date of March 4 2012. Which would put me at 5 weeks. Over the weekend, I had some spotting, so I contacted the on call OB. First thing Monday morning, they had me come in to check my levels. My HcG was 2000 but my progesterone was only 6... :(  The OB is putting me on the suppositories. But I am nervous that I am in the process of miscarriage....  This is my second pregnancy with no previous history of miscarriages, and my first pregnancy was normal. I go back in on Thursday to have my levels re-checked again. Please pray for me/us. I am so nervous and scared.

I am on progesterone as well, but not pregnant (that i know of) yet. I had IUI 8 days ago and since I have a history of M/C they put me on them. I take them orally though.

I had to do the progesterone suppositories for the first 13 weeks of my pregnancy. Everything worked at just fine.

Good luck!

I had to use the suppositories too. I was taking Clomid to help get preg and when on my 1st month I started my period too early, that told my dr a lot.So for the next 2 months of Clomid after ovulation I had to use the progesterone.Once FINALLY preg I had to continue them. I cant remember for how long though. I had to use them for both my pregnancies and all was fine. I wish the best for you. Good luck mama!

I know it's hard but try not to worry.  Lots of women with low progesterone go on to have healthy pregnancies.  My first beta hcg at 5.5 weeks was over 2,770 but my progesterone was only 15.2.  My RE added a 200mg progesterone suppository nightly.  I'm now 9 weeks 2 days.

I was on Prometrium for the first 13 weeks of my pregnancy with my son because of low progesterone levels. I also bled my entire pregnancy and my son will be 5 next month. Good luck!

I do appreciate all the feedback! My OB didn't start me on the suppositories til today. My ultrasound pictures say I'm 5w1d.. am I to late starting the progesterone?? On Monday, my HcG was 2,000 progesterone was 6. Today at the ER my HcG was 2,565. Those levels seem to be increasing but they don't check progesterone blood levels in the er....
