it depends on what kind of formula the baby has..if its milk derived formula, i don't think there should be a problem...if it's a special kind of formula, then no, i wouldn't risk giving it to a 6mo old.
I don't know, why can't mom go get formula now? If my baby were hungry I would be leaving now, not worrying about what to feed my child till I could get something appropriate for them.
This isnt a good idea for many reasons. But if thats the only option... maybe?
i have never used formula, but it's main ingredient is Hydrolyzed cows milk so that alone would make me think its ok since it is cows milk anyway in powder form
In an emergency, maybe once, and since the baby is getting formula usually, then maybe. But it would not be the same nutrition and digestiblity as formula. And if it is skim powdered milk, then the baby wouldn't be getting the fat that the baby needs.
